Industrial Regions

Industrial regions build military units for you each turn. A good base of Mountain regions makes your industry produce more.

Use Set Industries to say which units they build. You give each unit type a percentage of your industry. The screen shows how many of each unit that percentage builds. You can change it at any time.

The percentages do not have to add up to 100. Any share you leave unassigned earns gold instead. So the choice is units or gold: if you assign the full 100% to units, your industry earns no gold.

Specialize marks one unit type as your focus. It does not replace your percentage split. Your industries make more of the specialized unit and fewer of every other unit. Specializing cannot be undone, so choose with care. Trading with other specialized empires is the most efficient way to get the units you no longer make well.
