Regular Attack

A Regular Attack is a direct assault with your army. Your attack strength is compared to the enemy's defense.

First you choose how many of each unit to send: Troopers, Jets, Tanks, and Bombers. Jets can only fight if you have carriers to carry them. Units you keep at home do not fight and cannot be lost.

Your bombers fly first and destroy enemy jets that are on the ground. Then the armies clash. Only the units you sent add to your attack, and only they can be lost. Both sides lose about 15% of the forces that fought.

If you win, you capture a share of the enemy's regions. You do not take their gold. A Regular Attack gives you land, not money. A small empire can lose all of its regions in one attack. A large empire loses only part, so you must attack it again and again to take it down.

How big that share is also depends on how developed the enemy is. Compare its net worth to its number of regions. An enemy with low net worth for its size has cheap, lightly held land, and you capture more of it. An enemy with high net worth for its size is well developed, and you capture less.

Strategy hint: a large empire with low net worth is a soft target. It has much land but little strength to defend it. You win the battle easily and take a big piece of land. A small, dense empire gives you less land for the same effort.
