Operações Terroristas

Terrorist Ops send agents against a realm on another planet. First you choose the planet and the realm. Then the Terrorist Ops menu opens, and you can send one operation after another against that realm. Each send asks how many agents to commit, up to 255. If you send two or more, you see the price and accept it first. When you leave the menu, you can choose another realm on the same planet.

Each agent is one operation: it pays its own share of the price and uses one of the operations your sysop allows each day. The price of one agent is shown beside Terrorist Ops on the InterPlanetary menu. It goes up as your realm grows and with each operation you send that day.

Agents are spent when you send them, whatever they achieve. The operation takes place on the target's planet when the packet arrives there, so the result comes back a day or more later.

New Realm Protection stops every operation. A protected realm loses nothing and is not told. You cannot send operations while your own realm is protected.

O que cada operação faz

Each operation aims at one thing, and each agent that gets through does its own damage:

  • Send Spy — brings home the target's land, offense, defense and gold, and its troopers, jets, turrets, tanks and military morale. You see the report when the spy returns, and it goes into the Spy Database. The Spy Database keeps up to five reports on each realm from the last seven days, and always keeps the newest one however old it is. It shows how the last two differ, so a spy sent before and after a strike shows what the strike did. When you aim a strike at a realm you have a report on, its latest report is shown once you pick it.
  • Bomb Intelligence — destroys some of their agents.
  • Demoralize — lowers their military morale.
  • Cause Dissensions — some of their troopers desert.
  • Bomb AirBases — destroys some of their jets.
  • Stir Emigrations — drives some of their people away.
  • Spread Propaganda — lowers their popular support.
  • Bomb Food Stores — destroys some of their food. The amount varies more than for any other operation, from nothing to a large share.
  • Sabotage HQ — sets back their HeadQuarters.

Escolhendo uma

Choose the operation for what you plan to do next. Before an interplanetary attack, weaken what will fight back: troopers, jets, morale. Against a realm you cannot attack yet, slow its growth: food, people, support.

Conseguindo passar

Each agent is rolled for on its own, and the target's agents defend against it. The more agents your realm holds, the better each one's chance, but each extra agent helps less than the one before. When both realms have the same number of agents, about two agents in five get through. A small chance either way does not depend on either side.

So sending more agents does more damage on average, but it never makes one agent more likely to get through. A Terrorist Prevention pact adds part of the target's partners' agents to its defense, and an Intelligence Alliance adds part of your partners' agents to yours.
