Net Worth is the value of what your realm holds. It is shown beside your Score on the See Scores screen.

It counts your regions, your military units and your covert agents. Gold, food, people and debt are not counted. So a rich empire with few regions or units still has a low Net Worth, and a loan does not lower your Net Worth.
